SPORTSYSTEMS Meet Organisation system incorporates, as part of the Results Reporting module, the set of standard abbreviations defining reason for disqualification which have been adopted by the European Swimming Writers.
It is obviously really disappointing for the swimers, coaches and parents when a swimmer is disqualified during the club gala's.
However it would be much worse if they didn't learn from mistakes early in their swimming career and then got disqualified in a County or Regional event or when representing the club at various Gala's.
It is therefore really important that the swimmers understand what they have been DQed for and learn from the experience.
N.B. length no. 1 given when length not known
Whenever a competitor is disqualified the reason is reported against the swimmers name using the following set of codes.
