Details of the recommended kit list for training and gala's are detailed below.

Please check that you have the following items with you when you attend a club training session.

Swim cap - Highly recommended for girls.

Goggles - You will need to have at least one spare pair of goggles just in case you break your first pair

Swimming trunks or costume - Girls must wear one piece costumes only. Boys need to wear trunks or knee length jammers.

Drink - It's important to have an energy drink or water to hand during training to prevent dehydration.

Towel

Below is an optional list of training aids, that we use during sessions. Whilst the club does have a selection of the following equipment, it is better to have your own - these can all be purchased directly through Swim Shop. The shop also sells a range of net bags which are useful for carrying kit around. If you require advice please speak to one of the coaches or Andy Mitchell.

Float

Pull buoy

Fins

Hand paddles

For gala's all swimmers are expected to wear club swimming caps and t-shirts. It is recommended that you have spare swimming caps, goggles, costumes and towels. It is common practice when racing to downsize your costume or trunks/kneeskins to provide a tighter fit, reducing drag through the water.

Club merchandise (bags, t-shirts & swimming caps) can be purchased prior to most training sessions - see Jim, Ruth or Andy.

If you are unsure about kit, please speak to your coach.
